Training & Development
Training & Development has been established to combine the roles and
responsibilities of three corporate areas: Training, Organizational Development and Continuous Improvement which is a Quality Management function.
Combining these disciplines is essential and integral to sustained performance improvement for
county government. Combining the strengths of these areas will: (1) maximize limited budgets (2)
better serve more demanding business performance requirements and (3) will take advantage of a
strategic planned-change or growth model.
Training & Developmment's formation has included an Organizational Learning component dedicated to
strengthening industry best-practices. Using business information generated from Quality
Management process mapping; we have begun to design, develop, deploy and evaluate
division-specific operational training services. We have begun to coordinate county-wide learning
functions and are moving in the direction of a Learning Management System.
