Yes, I want to Volunteer!The Nature Coast Volunteer Center (NCVC) was created in 2000 as an umbrella organization to support volunteer activities throughout Citrus County.

The goal of the NCVC is to expand services to the citizens of Citrus County through the dedicated efforts of volunteers of all ages.

Volunteers are placed in special events, short-term projects, or ongoing positions within a variety of local non-profit organizations, government agencies and facilities.

Volunteer activities include - but are not limited to:
  • tutoring or mentoring
  • respite care
  • emergency preparedness training and response
  • home repairs
  • medical transport
  • tax preparation
  • meal delivery
  • hospital and hospice patient care
  • clerical support
  • clown outreach
  • pet adoption
  • park preservation
  • home construction
  • etc...
Volunteer benefits may include: partial travel reimbursement; supplemental accident, auto liability, personal liability insurance; annual recognition luncheon; and quarterly newsletter.
