Environmental Landscape Management Training

Various landscapesThis program is designed for commercial landscape maintenance firms that want to bid on county grounds maintenance contracts that involve pruning or applying pesticides and/or fertilizers. The program is also made available to County staff that performs similar landscape tasks. Anyone with an interest in Florida friendly landscape maintenance is also welcome to attend.

Classes are offered approximately two times per year. Classes are free, but registration is requested, please call (352) 527-5700. Topics covered include:

  • Citrus County Best Management Practices
  • Green Industry Best Management Practices
  • Proper fertilization
  • Pruning and pest management techniques

Certificates are awarded at the completion of class. This certification meets the requirement of Citrus County AR 12-79 for ELM training of county employees and of landscape maintenance firms.
