Citrus County residents are impacted by natural disasters every year.  People are forced to leave their homes due to fires, floods, tornado's, tropical storms and hurricanes. The residents and businesses that recovered the fastest had some sort of preparedness plan.

We urge every resident to design an emergency plan for their homes and businesses.

Should a hurricane threaten Citrus County, all residents west of U.S. 19 and residents 1.5 miles east of U.S. 19, must evacuate. Also, ALL mobile home residents, regardless of where they live, must evacuate.

Emergency Management Center: (352) 746-6555.
