Online Permitting - What Has Changed?
For those of you who have been using Online Permitting already, you will see some significant changes. The old system could only handle permits which did not require site plans, but the new one can handle everything except single/multi family permits and commercial applications.
Due to changes in State statutes, there is additional paperwork, and a reliance upon a fax machine that you did not have before. This would have occurred on the old version too, so it isn't really a penalty. Frankly, the new version of permitting is more complex than the old, but we have no choice but to address and adhere to the new requirements. On the other hand, hundreds more can take advantage of the system now.
