Commission Officials Address State Legislators

On Dec. 17, 2009 Citrus County Commission officials addressed the state legislators who represent Citrus County at the annual Legislation Delegation Meeting in Inverness. They outlined a handful of issues important to the county Commission for the upcoming session that begins in Tallahassee on March 2. The issues included protecting the local sources first law, brining back the Preservation 2000 program, voting machines, support for regionalization of solid waste disposal and water quality program funding. County Commission Chairman Gary Bartell began the presentation and County Administrator Brad Thorpe outlined the issues. In the video, Sen. Mike Fasano (R-New Port Richey), the Senate President Pro Tempore is on the left. Delegation Chairman Rep. Ron Schultz (R-Homosassa) is in the middle. Sen. Charles Dean (R-Inverness) is on the right.
